Need some gift ideas this holiday? Yule love this! I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite eco-friendly gift ideas, as well as a few awesome local Sacramento small businesses.
PLANT A TREE. You may remember that I recently partnered with One Tree Planted to plant three trees for every session booked! So in addition to booking a session, you can also plant trees in an area of your choice here. We can really use them after this year’s fires!
SOCKS THAT SAVE THE WORLD. Not only is each pair of Conscious Step socks certified organic and fair trade, but each purchase supports a partner organization, from providing water to fighting inequality. Plus…these are an excellent stocking stuffer.
REFILL MADNESS. This is one of my favorite local businesses. It’s a soap refillery and zero waste shop, woman-owned, and dedicated to the health of our planet by removing plastic from our waste stream.
PURPOSE. Beautifully bold, curated clothing that is designed ethically, sustainably and with purpose. Oh…and they are also woman-owned in Sacramento. Shop in store or online!
SHOP MODERN NOSTALGIC. A wonderfully curated collection of unique vintage pieces that no one else will have. Buying second-hand vintage items is an excellent way to be eco-friendly with gifting this year.
SALT AND SHEA. Some of the most amazing seasonal scents in candle, body scrub or body butter form. Handmade in Sacramento! And I don’t see any plastic in this gift bundle — yay!
PUBLIC LAND STORE. Unusual plants, beautiful ceramics…and an art gallery. Just go. You’ll love it!
Stay safe and stay warm this holiday! Happy shopping!
