This senior session was such a joy to photograph! Set in the beautiful Rancho Murieta area, we had tree-lined pathways, soft golden light, and wide open fields to play with. It was truly a dream location. She brought a personal touch to her session by incorporating two of her biggest passions: her horse and her harp.Including your horse in your senior portraits is a beautiful way to showcase a big part of your life, especially if you’ve spent years riding or caring for them. You can go casual or dress in riding gear. It’s all about capturing the connection you share. The bond she has with her horse was so sweet to see, and we were able to capture some really tender moments between the two.I absolutely love when seniors bring their horses to a session. I grew up riding and am very comfortable with horses, so I’m super happy when someone wants to do a horse-themed session. With a bit of patience and some gentle tricks, we can make sure they look just as engaged in the portraits as their human. Horses bring such a peaceful and grounded presence to photos, and they add a sense of calm and beauty that really elevates the session. As if that wasn’t enough personality and artistry, this senior also brought her harp. It added such an elegant, almost ethereal element to the shoot. The harp paired beautifully with the golden light and natural setting. It made for some really artistic portraits that felt timeless.After we wrapped up the portraits with her horse and harp, we took advantage of the dreamy golden fields to capture this senior just being herself — running through the tall grass, laughing, and soaking in the moment.
