Hello. My name is Olivia and I am cute.

My mommy and daddy live in a house in Silver Lake that they designed themselves. They are really good at that stuff. My sister is a French Bulldog named Ava and she already loves me even though she’s only known me for nine days.

My mommy also really loves me and she likes to snuggle all day long. That’s okay with me because I like to snuggle, too. And nurse. A lot.

Sometimes my daddy wants to hold me, too. That’s really the only thing my parents argue about these days…who gets to hold me. I like it.

I think my mommy and daddy love me. Like a lot. They can’t stop looking at me. Sometimes my Auntie Jill asks them to look at her while she’s holding that big camera, but they can’t stop looking at me. That’s okay with me, though.

Oh, and this is my cousin, River. She’s really cute, too. She never stops smiling. And drooling. But then she smiles some more. I like her.

Okay, now my auntie gets a turn…

If you haven’t already guessed, Olivia is my brand-new niece.  You saw a sort of “sneak peek” of her from her parents’ maternity session a couple of months ago. I got to spend some time with her in LA recently and everybody is completely, head-over-heels in love with our newest family member. I couldn’t stop taking pictures of her…I’m addicted.

Remember the post with the beautiful yoga mama a few months ago? Well, her yoga baby is here! Little Sia was just the sweetest little thing, snoozing through all of the sleepy parts of the session and waking up with those big brown eyes just at the right moment. Ah, I’m in love…

Mom was in amazing shape, even with just having had a baby. Note to self: do yoga before, during and after having kids!

I love grandma and grandpa in this shot. Boy, do they love their grandkids and it shows! So cute!

Our Sacramento Spring Mini-Sessions sold out fast and were a big success with lots of new and returning faces. Here is just the tip of the iceberg with a few of my favorites from the first day.

Okay, seriously? How cute is she with those stunning blue eyes and three little teeth poking through???

Loving the way they coordinated their clothing with the perfect combination of light aqua and plaids for spring.

This lovely couple thought they’d warm up for their newborn session with a short and sweet maternity session amongst the orange trees.

I couldn’t get enough of this little guy. He just smiled and smiled and smiled.

So sweet! I love this age when they are old enough to be super easy to work with but they still openly adore their mama.

This is only from the first round of mini-sessions – more previews to come in the next few weeks! Until then, I’m off to LA to photograph a very special little baby girl at only four days old! I can’t wait

Just in time for Easter, little “G” had his wardrobe all ready to go for his big photo-shoot…

I’ve been photographing this lovely family for several years now, and every time I come over for another session, we all know each other that much better, and, for a brief moment, I get invited to document their carefully crafted and beautiful world. That’s a pretty big honor and I don’t take it for granted for one second.

This is the one where big brother is really holding it together…

And then he can’t hold it in one more second! Ahhhhh, but I love these ones!
