I still can’t get over this East Sacramento family photo session! I had so much fun exploring the area with Lynne and her boys to find the spots that held memories for them. The summers can get hot here in Sacramento, so we found the shade, spotted some landmarks, and ended the day with everyone’s favorite: ICE CREAM!
I just loved how these brothers interacted with one another — you can tell they have so much fun as a family! Their smiles really say it all. Plus, those coordinated button-up shirts, shorts, and flip-flops: you can’t beat it!
People sometimes ask about capturing these kinds of candid shots, but these two made it easy! They made each other laugh and were responsive to direction I gave them. Their personalities shined!
The brothers’ blue and yellow outfits were the perfect match for this floral East Sac mural. We couldn’t have coordinated any better!
These candid shots on the brick wall are my absolute favorite. I love knowing that this family will look back at their photos for years to come and see, not only what they looked like, but who they were and how they loved one another.
As you can see, we were laughing the whole session! I love how these boys can be so goofy, and yet so sweet. And speaking of sweet — we finished the day with Doc Bernstein’s Ice Cream, an East Sacramento staple.
Of course, both boys chose chocolate. It was the perfect way to end the day and cool off from the summer heat.
This family’s story tugged at my heart from the very moment I met them, and it’s been a privilege to document their journey.
I’d love to photograph your family in your favorite Sacramento spots! Book a session with me and let’s explore our town together!
