I’ve been documenting Felicia’s family since the birth of her first son, so when the opportunity arose to do an editorial shoot at her prune farm, I jumped at the chance! We timed it around harvest time which is only one week out of the year.

You can see an article about Felicia, an incredible local farmer and businesswoman, here.

Did you know that California produces 99% of the nation’s prunes? I also learned that they are very good for bone health, fresh or dried. I’ve become addicted to fresh prunes and Felicia was so sweet and sent me home with a big basket of them!

This is the sweetest! I also love the mix of chambray and different shades of blue.
