There’s nothing quite like summer in the Sacramento region, and this colorful family photo session by Folsom Lake is the epitome of the season. I have been photographing this family since the boys were little, and it’s always a joy to be around them. They are as fun as they come!

You know it’s good when the beach balls coordinate with the swimsuits. Props like these make the photos come to life!

This spot along the water’s edge is perfect for a warm summer session. Just a quick dip of your feet in the water is enough to feel cool again.

I love this series of the boys flexing. Big brother showing little brother how to “accentuate” his muscles cracks me up.

It really doesn’t get much more picturesque than old historic Folsom. The rocks, the bridge, the geese… just a beautiful setting!

There was plenty of sweetness to go with the giggles during this session. These boys sure love their mama!
