Well, everybody, I’m officially married! We got hitched on Monday, July 11th and the day, the place, our family, the emotions, they were everything we could’ve wished for and more. Although Drew and I had dated for six years (and got married on the same day as our first kiss — Drew’s idea — how cute!), things were suddenly different, in a whole new, deeply emotional and connected way that was felt by everyone there. It was truly magical.
To be honest, it was a whirlwind of activity and I had little time to take pictures myself. However, we had our wedding thoroughly documented by the incredibly talented Jill Thomas Photography, and styled by the uber-fabulous Kami with a K. The pictures will be ready in the next six weeks. I seriously CAN’T WAIT to share them with you as soon as they become available. Personally, I think Drew and I looked pretty stinkin’ cute. 😉
Most of the pictures that I have to share with you today were shot with an iPhone, which, in its defense, can sometimes take some surprisingly good photographs, but (just a disclaimer) please excuse the departure from the quality that we are accustomed to here on the blog.
Here’s a shot from the morning before the wedding, scoping out the best locations for pictures, with Drew, Jill (our photographer…not me, lol!) and Kami:
Here’s a look at one of Costanoa’s super-cute tent bungalows. I did my “getting ready” and “first look” pictures here — it was perfect!
And a snapshot of one of the resort’s many lovely eucalyptus groves. I couldn’t get enough of the fragrance from the trees. Also, a little hint at the fact that we got to use a horse in the wedding pictures — how fun!
After all was said and done, we started off our honeymoon in Croatia, with a good long nap after being awake for about 24 hours straight. The flight was long (stop over in Frankfurt) but Lufthansa was good to us with gluten-free meals and the sweetest German flight attendants. Will share more soon!
