I had a ton of fun capturing these family photos in Land Park! We have so many fabulous spaces in and around Sacramento, and we are fortunate that we can go to almost any of them and have a gorgeous background for pictures.

We started out our afternoon in the flower garden. The plants glowed in the natural sunlight and made their outfits pop. The yellow on baby girl’s pants and headband complemented the sun streaming off the plants.

Their outfits were perfect for that “fall” vibe. Boots and sweaters and browns, blues, and yellows — all great colors for a fall wardrobe.

Brother and sister were adorable and kept their happy attitudes all throughout the shoot. They look SO much alike here; they could almost be twins. I can’t get over those darling little hands.

We explored the park and had some time to stop and smell the flowers. I always try to provide extra time for children to run around and play, and it often leads to some of my favorite photos. Kids are simply the best at showing their natural character.

This location also had incredible trees! As a photographer, I love finding unique locations and angles to make your portraits shine. The sun coming through the leaves adds an extra “sparkle” to the image.
