Caitlyn and I were the perfect match for a fresh, natural, organic styled senior portrait session. We agreed on a spot in Folsom with golden grass and picked a time of day when the light is just right, all buttery and soft. She arrived with a variety of dresses, which is great because then we could go through them together and pick out the pieces that will work the best for the setting. This darling little burgundy lace dress couldn’t have been better, set against the neutral tones of the backdrop. If you’re looking for what to wear for your senior portrait session, keep reading!

Set against Folsom Lake, I love her natural smiles.

This green cardigan went perfectly with the neutral bark tones and the green of the oak trees in the background.

Some of my favorite images from the shoot. We chatted and told stories and laughed right up until the very end. And look at this hair… Doesn’t she have THE BEST hair?! Those waves are completely natural!

Another darling cream-toned eyelet dress that has beautiful texture when paired with the soft and blurred background.

Here’s a fun email I got from mom after the session: “I am speechless.  In a good way!!  WOW!!!  I have never, ever, ever seen Caitlyn look so wonderful.  This is my highest praise:  That is EXACTLY what she looks like (on a really good day).  It’s the prettiest, most natural-looking version of her.  And the background and posing are fabulous.  Such a great look.  All of the colors are beautiful together.”

Jill covers the Sacramento, Roseville, El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Davis, Carmichael and Elk Grove areas. If you’re interested in booking a senior portrait session, just give us a call at 916.933.8352 or email us at
