It’s back to school season, which has me reminiscing about this senior photo session by Folsom Lake from last year! This young man is a competitive rower and it was such a treat to incorporate his passion into his senior portraits!

I am thrilled to know that these photos will always take him back to this place and time in his youth.

His next adventure: Colby College. His excitement was palpable, and I think it comes across in every photo!

We left the shop and went to the water to get a few more formal pictures. I always encourage seniors to bring several different outfits in order to give extra options. The mix of casual and dressy gives us plenty of looks to choose from!

Mom tagged along with us, so of course we had to get a quick mother-son shot! These wildflowers made the best background to a Sacramento summer.

Golden hour treated us well over the water. It’s hard to beat the natural beauty of Folsom!

It’s an honor to capture such an exciting time in a senior’s life! We got him literally jumping for joy, looking forward to an incredible future ahead!
