One of the questions I get asked most is, “What should I wear?” First of all, it’s important to wear what makes you feel comfortable, but it’s also important to look and feel your best! Dresses are universally flattering on women of all shapes and sizes. Skirts, jeans and a fitted top is another great casual look. Here is a simple guide to help you nail those outfits on our shoot.

PATTERNS: Stripes, plaids and dots. Have at least one solid for every pattern or print and wear patterns that aren’t overwhelming.

NEUTRALS: Simple, solid and natural. Have three main colors that are cohesive and you can’t go wrong.

TEXTURES: Lace, crochet and velvet. The smallest details can make the biggest impact. Don’t forget to accessorize.

MOVEMENT: Flowy, ruffles, light. If your little girl tries on a dress and does the “twirl test”, chances are she will do that in photos! Soft pastels and rich colors all photograph nicely. Wrap or faux dresses look great on every woman.
