Do-nut tell me you don’t love a donut “cake” smash! One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing families through their different life stages, and this shoot reminded me of all the joy that brings. I also loved a good themed cake smash studio session. These one-year-old cake smash photos were the perfect opportunity to hop in my Sacramento portrait studio and show this little one’s big personality. I don’t know how you can look at these photos and not smile. Look at that cute face!

This sweet one-year-old let the whole family be a part of her birthday pictures. Big sister wanted to get in on the fun, too!

And of course, dad helped her feel a little more comfortable.

We all know that life isn’t all sprinkles and donuts with a baby, so it’s important to capture the not-so-happy poses too! You never know how the little ones will react to having their picture taken. This natural progression of moods here cracks me up, and I know that this family will look back on these photos and smile.

Finally, it was time to taste the donuts. This sweet girl wasn’t sure which treat to try first, but she eventually caught on to taste almost all of them!

Once again, big sister hopped in to help. She wanted to share the tasty donuts, too!
