It’s the fall family photo season, and this session in the Aspen trees in Truckee has me swooning all over again. This fun family wanted to get updated photos with their new baby and I was honored to be the one to capture them.

The trees were positively glowing in the sun! I love getting these more artistic wide shots to capture the full beauty of the setting. I imagine the framed pictures being hung up in the family’s home for years to come.

The light in this girl’s eyes gives me goosebumps! She is radiant in the sunlight and the trees in the background make her personality pop.

I can’t get over those baby blues. The baby stage doesn’t last long enough, but at least they’ll have these pictures.

Family portraits can be unpredictable, but these little moments end up being some of the best parts of every shoot. I love how children aren’t afraid to explore their surroundings! This mother/daughter moment is heart-melting.
